Natalia Tena as Nymphadora Tonks
Nymphadora Tonks was a character that came to light in the Order of the Phoenix and soon became an Auror loved By most. She captured the hearts of everyone with her shapeshifting abilities and lively personality, Tonks and Remus Lupin had a good thing going for a while before they were both killed at the Battle of Hogwarts, her son Teddy being left behind.
Natalia Tena – Today
Tena burst into a world of opportunities after playing the role of Nymphadora seeing as she wasn’t very popular prior. She landed a huge role as Osha in Game of Thrones not long after the Harry Potter franchise came to an end. Afterwards, she was cast in the sci-fi series, Origin as co-star to Tom Felton who played Harry Felter. She also sings and plays the accordion for the Molotov Jukebox band.
Shirley Henderson as Moaning Myrtle
Hogwarts was home to many ghosts that students would rather not encounter, however, the most irksome one had to be Moaning Myrtle. For decades, she haunted the girls’ bathroom oblivious to how or why she was there. Eventually, a discovery of how she died came to light – she looked into a Basilisk’s eye when the chamber of secrets was opened By young Tom Riddle.
Shirley Henderson – Today
Shirley has made appearances in many films after her role in Harry otter, however, it hasn’t been easy recognizing her outside the fantasy series. She repeated her role, taking up the character of Jude in the film By Bridget Jones. She also made appearances in Marie Antoinette and Anna Karenina. her role in Southcliffe earned her critical acclaims. Shirley Henderson has recently been cast in T2 Trainspotting as well as the Okja.
Imelda Staunton as Dolores Umbridge
Lord Voldemort may have been the main antagonist but he couldn’t have been the least favorite in the franchise. Potterheads have come to a consensus that Dolores Umbridge was the epitome of evil. Although she had no business with the Death Eaters, the employee from the Ministry of Magic proved herself more vile and hateful than the worst of the lot. The fluffy pink sweaters and photos of kittens did not represent her personality in any way.
Imelda Staunton – Today
It was a challenge to find an actor to play the roe of the most hated character but the producers could think of none other than Oscar nominee, Imelda Staunton. She accepted the role and gave the franchise one of the most remarkable performances. After Harry Potter, some of her most popular roles are in Maleficent By Disney and Pride, the LGBT comedy for which she received a BAFTA nomination.
Geraldine Somerville as Lily Potter
Harry’s mother, Lily, made appearances only in flashbacks, however, Geraldine Somerville did a great job at conveying the gentleness of her spirit. When she was a student at Hogwarts, she excelled thus, catching the attention and love of James Potter. They fell for each other, got married and had Harry. But their happiness was very short-lived as they met their ends at the wand of Lord Voldemort. Thanks to the sacrifice Lily made, Harry was not harmed and became the boy who lived.
Geraldine Somerville – Today
After the series ended, Somerville focused on Tv for the most part, landing major roles in the Titanic, a miniseries and Prime Suspect 1973. You may have seen her in movies like GoodBye Christopher Robin and Seven Dyas with Marilyn in which she starred alongside many Harry Potter actors.
Michelle Fairley as Mrs. Granger
Hermoine talked about her Muggle parents at different points but we didn’t get to see them till the Deathly Hallows part 1. The moment in which they finally made appearance was heartbreaking and torturing for the witch. In that moment, she had to erase the memory of her parents to keep them safe from the Death Eaters and Lord Voldemort.
Michelle Fairley – Today
Michelle Fairley garnered recognition and she owes it to her role in Game of Thrones as Catelyn Stark. She has taken up roles in several notable TV shows ever since. She played a major role in Suits and was the main villain in the movie, 24.: Live Another Day. Fairley also has the talent for stage plays and has made appearances in critically acclaimed remakes of Road and Julius Caesar.
Fiona Shaw as Petunia Dursley
Having a sister who was magically gifted bred jealousy in Petunia and as such made her shun any connection to the world of magic as an adult. But this was not possible because Albus Dumbledore assigned her the task of caring for Harry after Lord Voldemort killed his parents. Petunia and Vernon, her husband took poor care of Harry and refrained from telling him about his magical abilities for a long time.
Fiona Shaw – Today
Fiona has always favored the stage and has made appearances in various acclaimed plays after she finished her role in the Harry Potter series. She has played starring roles in the film, The Tree of life which received an Oscar nomination as well as TV shows, True Blood and Killing Eve.
Anna Shaffer as Romilda Vane
Anna Shaffer debuted as an actress while playing the role of Romilda Vane, a Gryffindor student, in the Half Blood Prince. She repeated the role in the last two parts of the franchise. Romilda fancied Harry a lot and chose to win his affection through the only means she could think of. She put a strong love potion in some chocolates and gave them to Harry. But it so happened that Ron ate them instead of Harry and the outcome was laughable.
Anna Shaffer – Today
The plot Shaffer’s character appeared in Harry Potter was similar to a soap opera’s. Little wonder she took a lead role in one afterwards. The actress has earned a role in Hollyoaks and her character has made regular appearances in more than two hundred episodes of the well-known TV show since as far back as 2011.
Julie Christie as Madame Rosmerta
The movie legend, Julie Christie herself couldn’t turn down the invitation to be part of the Harry Potter franchise, despite the fact that she is particular about the roles she takes up. The Oscar winner was cast as the owner of the Three Broomsticks bar in Hogsmeade village, Madame Rosemerta. She was a beautiful lady with knowledge of many secrets which she knew because she worked in one of the most popular meeting spots in the magical world.
Julie Christie – Today
After her role in the Prisoner of Azkaban, Christie declined many roles because she felt she needed space from Hollywood. She moved to a sheep farm in Wales and decided to drop her acting career. But some opportunities are too juicy to turn down, hence, she has accepted the lead role in Sarah Polley’s drama, Away from her. Her remarkable acting skills have earned her an Academy Award nomination. In recent times, Christie was the narrator for the movie, The Bookstore which won a Goya Award.
